  Hollywood is a place with lots of lights and it entertains people through movies. Hollywood has been there for a long time and it becomes the heart of the movie industry in America.

There is a Walk of Fame which has stars on them that represent different famous people like actors or actresses who succeeded in making an impact on their work in show business. Different types of artists received this honor over the years, starting from singers and musicians up to writers and directors.

The stars are placed right next to each other and they line both sides of the street between LaBrea Avenue and Highland Avenue, also known as Hollywood Boulevard. The tiles containing celebrities' names start at "H" Street (east side) and end just past "G" Street (west side).

A few examples of famous people on the Walk of Fame are Bob Hope, Johnny Grant, James Stewart, and Gregory Peck.

The Hollywood sign is a symbol of international fame for this city. It is a big sign that says "HOLLYWOOD" in white letters right on top of the hill with its elevation at 234m above sea level. The "H", "O", "L" and "Y" are 30 meters tall each while the other two letters ("W" and "D") measure 15 meters.

Originally, the sign was designed back in 1923 to welcome visitors coming to Hollywood for movies' premieres but before it even got put up completely, during one night people changed the letters and they now read "Hollywood". The residents, however, decided to leave it as is to honor their beloved city and the sign remains unchanged till today.

The problem is that over time several parts of the sign began deteriorating which caused some of them to disappear completely. Nowadays, only four out of five original letters are still intact while some people want to put up another sign with different looks in order not to ruin this important landmark even more than what it already did throughout its existence. Some other restoration projects were implemented but turned out unsuccessful mainly because these actions were interrupted by unpredictable events or vandalism.

People who pass on Hollywood Boulevard can take pictures with the sign since tourists find it an interesting spot for various reasons.

For example, some of them like to pose next to it because they believe such a picture can contribute to their social media popularity and make them more popular among their friends or followers; others do it for this city's fame and all the memories associated with it; lastly, some simply want to feel like a part of something bigger than themselves by standing close to an important monument that represents America itself and was built here for the sake of entertainment.

The sign is one of Hollywood's most valuable assets which makes people find themselves in front of it on any given day. It helped shape American history through show business over the years and therefore everyone should come to visit it at least once in order not to miss out
